Live Wallpapers & Screensavers
Privacy Policy
Effective October 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Byeshe (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use Live Wallpapers & Screensavers (the “Application”), a freemium Android app with advertising and optional paid features or subscriptions. Features and services may vary by version, region, and configuration. No Application account or registration is required. Contact play@byeshe.com for privacy questions.
Wallpaper choices and local storage
The Application stores the selected shader wallpaper identifier, favorite wallpaper identifiers and their order, the latest 10 recently viewed wallpaper identifiers, and app preferences in app-private storage. These support wallpaper rendering, favorites, recent views, and settings. The shader catalog and shader source code are bundled with the Application. We do not provide an account-based cloud synchronization service for these records.
Android backup and device-transfer features may include eligible app data, depending on your device and backup settings. This is separate from a Byeshe server upload. Use Android or your backup provider’s controls to manage backup copies.
If you contact support, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond and resolve your request.
Camera and transparent wallpaper
Permission: android.permission.CAMERA. With your permission, the transparent-wallpaper screen, Android wallpaper preview, and selected camera wallpaper display a live feed from the rear camera. The feature uses CameraX preview only; it does not capture photos, record video or audio, or access your existing photo library.
The selected camera wallpaper can use the camera while its wallpaper surface is visible, even after you leave the Application, such as on a supported Home or lock screen. The wallpaper service starts the preview when visible and releases the camera when hidden or its surface is destroyed. Android privacy controls, camera availability, device restrictions, and other apps using the camera can limit this feature.
You can decline camera access and continue using shader and fluid wallpapers. To stop the camera wallpaper, choose another wallpaper or revoke camera permission in Android settings. Closing the Application’s activity alone does not deselect an active wallpaper. Accepting this policy does not grant camera access.
Wallpaper and technical permissions
| Permission or access | Purpose and scope |
|---|---|
android.permission.SET_WALLPAPERandroid.permission.BIND_WALLPAPER | Set a wallpaper through Android. BIND_WALLPAPER protects the wallpaper services so Android can bind to them; it does not grant access to other apps’ screens or private data. |
android.permission.INTERNETandroid.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE | Connect to advertising, configuration, analytics, attribution, billing, and diagnostic services and check connectivity. |
android.permission.ACCESS_WIFI_STATEandroid.permission.READ_BASIC_PHONE_STATE | Integrated advertising services can access permitted Wi-Fi and basic cellular or software state for connectivity and diagnostics. These do not grant access to contacts, call logs, messages, call audio, or Wi-Fi passwords. |
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_IDandroid.permission.ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_IDandroid.permission.ACCESS_ADSERVICES_ATTRIBUTIONandroid.permission.ACCESS_ADSERVICES_TOPICSandroid.permission.ACCESS_ADSERVICES_CUSTOM_AUDIENCE | Allow integrated advertising services to use advertising identifiers and supported Android advertising features for delivery, measurement, attribution, and fraud prevention, subject to Android privacy controls. |
com.android.vending.BILLINGcom.android.vending.CHECK_LICENSEcom.google.android.finsky.permission.BIND_GET_INSTALL_REFERRER_SERVICE | Google Play purchases, entitlement and license checks, and installation-source attribution. Install Referrer does not grant access to your other Play purchases. |
android.permission.WAKE_LOCKandroid.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICEandroid.permission.VIBRATE | Declared by integrated libraries for their operation, scheduling, or feedback where used. They do not themselves grant camera, location, or microphone access. Live wallpaper rendering is handled by Android’s wallpaper services. |
com.amazon.privacypass.ATTEST | Integrated advertising services may use authenticity or fraud attestation where supported. |
com.byeshe.livewallpaper.DYNAMIC_RECEIVER_NOT_EXPORTED_PERMISSION | An AndroidX signature-level guard for internal broadcasts, with no additional access to personal data. |
The Application queries compatible wallpaper services and sharing destinations for system integration. It does not request all-app inventory access, location, microphone, contacts, SMS, shared-photo-library, or all-files access. Advertising services may infer an approximate region from your IP address.
Advertising and privacy choices
The ad-supported version uses Google AdMob and mediation partners. They may process IP address, approximate region, advertising and app identifiers, device and operating-system information, network state, ad requests, impressions, clicks, interactions, and diagnostics. Processing supports ad delivery, measurement, attribution, personalization where permitted, security, and fraud prevention. Non-personalized ads can still involve technical data processing.
Google’s User Messaging Platform handles advertising consent where applicable. When required and available, you can revisit consent through Settings → Privacy options. Availability depends on region, provider, and configuration. You can also adjust Android advertising privacy settings, including advertising ID and supported advertising features. An ad-removal purchase changes ad display according to its offer; configuration, purchase validation, analytics, and other technical communications can continue.
Advertising partners may include Google AdMob, Meta Audience Network, AppLovin, Pangle, Liftoff Monetize (Vungle), Mintegral, InMobi, BidMachine, and Unity Ads and ironSource. Providers serving a particular request depend on mediation configuration and availability.
Analytics, configuration, attribution, and crashes
Firebase Analytics is enabled by default. Automatic and app-generated events can describe launches, sessions, screen views, wallpaper interactions, favorites actions, camera permission choices, settings, ads, and purchases, together with app-instance or available advertising identifiers, device information, and approximate region. We use these events to understand feature use, measure conversions, and improve the Application. Interaction events are separate from the favorites and recent-view lists stored on your device; camera frames are not event data.
Firebase Remote Config retrieves feature and advertising configuration using installation identifiers and technical request information. Firebase Crashlytics uploads crash diagnostics, including crash traces, identifiers, app version, and device state, to help us fix errors. Reports may be cached until a later launch. These services are not guaranteed to be anonymous. The Application has no dedicated in-app switch for Analytics or Crashlytics.
Google Play Install Referrer supplies installation source and click or install timing, which can be cached locally. Meta App Events and TikTok Business services may process installation, launch, and conversion events and available identifiers according to configuration. Subscription events can include order or transaction identifier, product, quantity, currency, and attributed value; that value can differ from the amount charged. These events do not include camera images.
See Firebase privacy information, Google’s Privacy Policy, Meta’s Privacy Policy, and TikTok’s Partner Privacy Policy for the providers’ practices.
Purchases and subscriptions
Google Play processes payments. The Application and purchase services may process product identifiers, purchase tokens, order identifiers, purchase time, subscription status, and entitlements to acknowledge purchases, restore access, prevent fraud, and provide support. We do not receive your full payment-card number or payment credentials. Purchase conversion events may be sent to Firebase Analytics, Meta, and TikTok as described above. Clearing app data or uninstalling does not cancel a subscription.
Sharing, international processing, and website visits
Technical, advertising, attribution, and purchase information is processed by the providers described above for those purposes. We may disclose support or other information held by us to service providers assisting us, where legally required, to protect rights and safety, or in a business transfer subject to applicable protections. We do not sell camera frames. Providers may process information outside your country under their applicable safeguards and policies.
External links and support email are handled by your browser, email provider, and destination service. This website uses Firebase Hosting, which processes IP addresses and technical requests for delivery and security. These legal pages use no advertising or analytics scripts, external fonts, or tracking cookies.
Retention, deletion, and your rights
Local favorites, wallpaper selection, and preferences remain until changed or app storage is cleared; recent views retain the latest 10 identifiers. To remove app-private data, use Android’s clear-storage or uninstall controls. Backup copies are managed separately through Android or the backup provider, and restoring a backup may restore eligible preferences. Select another wallpaper before removing data if you want to stop the current wallpaper.
Support correspondence and purchase-related information held by us are retained as needed to resolve requests, maintain entitlements, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations, then deleted when no longer needed. Advertising and technical providers apply their own retention periods. Local deletion does not recall analytics, attribution, or crash events already transmitted, erase store transaction history, or cancel subscriptions.
Contact play@byeshe.com to request access, correction, deletion, or rights available in your location, including objection, restriction, portability, or withdrawal of consent. We may need to verify your request. We cannot remotely retrieve or delete records held only on your device. Contact us for help with information processed on our behalf; providers’ independent processing follows their policies. Revoking a permission stops future access through that permission but does not automatically delete earlier records. You may also contact your local data-protection authority.
Security and children
We use reasonable safeguards, but no storage or transmission is completely secure. Protect your device, email, and backups. The Application is not directed to children under 13. Minors must meet applicable age requirements and obtain guardian permission where required. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy and its effective date when features or data practices change, with additional notice or consent where required. For privacy questions, contact Byeshe at play@byeshe.com.
